BENEFITS

The air found on Hazwoper sites typically contains hazardous substances in potentially dangerous concentrations. Section 1910.120(h) of the Hazwoper Standard requires employers to engage in air monitoring to keep track of atmospheric conditions. Specifically, employers are required to establish procedures addressing the frequency and types of air monitoring, personnel monitoring and environmental sampling techniques and instrumentation to be used, including methods of maintenance and calibration of monitoring and sampling equipment to be used.
